AN AGREEMENT made the thirtieth day of May, 1911, BETWEEN ED 20 DEC |! SARGINT LINDSEY, Manager of the KOWLOON-CANTON RAILWAY (British Section) (hereinafter called "the Lensor") of the one part and the MITSUI BUSSAN KAISHA, a Company incorporated in Japan and carrying on business in Hongkong (hereinafter called "the Lessees") of the other

part.

WHEREBY IT IS AGREED as follows:-

1.

The Lessor agrees to let and the Lessees agree to take an aggregate area of 60,000 square feet within the limits of the plots of land situate at "Blackheed's Point" Kowloon and delineated and marked A, B1, B2, B3, and C on the plan hereto annexed from the 15th. day of June, 1911, until this Agreement is determined in mamer hereinafter

mentioned.

2.

Should the Lessor at any time require the whole or any portion of the plots marked B1, B2, or B3 for any Railway purpose the Lessees shall vacate the plots so required, or such portion thereof as may be so required within one calendar month of the giving to the Lessees by the Lessor of a notice requiring them to do so.

The Lessees will pay to the Lessor for the said plots of land and the use of the Seawall, Wharf and Office as hereinafter mentioned the

monthly rent of $1,200.

4. The Lessees shall not occupy more than 60,000 square feet of the

one

said plots at any time and shall not use the said plots for any pur- -pose other than the storage of coal: and shall not erect any build- -ing thereon or allow any person to sleep there.

5. The Lessees may berth colliers at the "harf shown and marked E

to on the said plan for the sole purpose of discharging coal on the said plots of land whenever they desire to do so provided they give to the Lessor at least five days' previous notice of their intention to do so. Every collier so berthed shall be discharged with reasonable despatch.

6.

The Lessees may discharge and load coal from and to lighters and

cargo-boats moored either at the said Wharf or at any part of the

Seawall between the points marked F and G on the said plan to and from the said plots of land at all times of the day and night subject
